The Port River hosted the first event in the Bream Master South Australia 2024 season on Saturday February 17 th . Fifteen kayaks hit the water from Snowden’s Beach to battle it out in the Pro Lure Australia Round 1. Plenty of anglers got fish in
their livewells during the early morning with a variety of techniques working well
including soft plastics, surface lures and hardbodies.
We had one of our best weigh-ins from this event with plenty of fish coming through.
Our inaugural Port River Champion angler went to:
Ryan Ottens with his three fish bag weighing in at 2.18kg.
Paul Cook took out second place with his two bream weighing 1.62kg.
Third place went to Ben Harrison with a bag weight of 1.37kg,
Luke Ansell in fourth at 1.32kg and Joshua Bland in fifth at 0.78kg.
Ryan Ottens also took out the BerleyPro Big Bream award with a hefty 980g bream.
